President's Award

The President’s Volunteer Service Award recognizes United States citizens and lawfully admitted, permanent residents of the United States who have achieved the required number of hours of service over a 12-month time period or cumulative hours over the course of a lifetime.

Along with the ultimate honor of presidential recognition, recipients will receive a personalized certificate, an official pin, medallion or coin and a congratulatory letter from the president of the United States. 

Congresswoman Alma Adams (in Red) gave a brief greeting.  Mayor Pro Tem Vy Liles, assisted with the presentation of the awards. Forest Watson, Community Services Director and Junior Anderson Pathfinder Director also assisted with the Presentation of the Awards. Ethel Phillips, the organizer of the local program gave a brief History of the PVSA program, moderated and read the names of the awardees.
