Pastor David Graham was born on July 22, 1969 in Guadalajara, Mexico where his father was completing medical school. He spent his early childhood years living in Mexico, Canada, Texas, Tennessee, Georgia and Michigan.

David's decision to follow the Lord began at a young age. That decision continued to develop while enrolled at Laurelbrook academy (a Seventh-day Adventist high school). It was there that David was elected the pastor of the dorm for three years and his pastor and several teachers encouraged him to become a pastor. Through prayerful consideration of these experiences and God providence developed a lifelong passion in serving God in the gospel ministry. David recognizes Adventist Christian church school, being a Pathfinder and having godly people in his life as contributing to his spiritual success during his younger years.

Academically, David holds a Theology Degree from Southern Adventist University and a Master of Divinity degree from Andrews University. In 2010 he graduated from the Fuller Theological Seminary with a Doctoral Degree in Ministry.

David has a wide scope of ministry experience. After Academy, he served as a youth pastor at Blue Mountain Academy and at the Baltimore, Maryland Korean Seventh-day Adventist church. He pastored at the Tampa First Church, Palm Coast/St. Augustine District, Seminole Meadows/Orange City District, and the Winter Springs Church. He served as the Assistant Director of Men’s Ministry in the Florida Conference and has been active in establishing, teaming with and leading ministerial associations within the Adventist church and with other churches in the community. David has been serving the Sharon Seventh-day Adventist Church since August 2007.

David enjoys traveling for ministry as well as for fun. His travels abroad include, Russia, Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, Jamaica, Peru, Austria and Germany. Along with traveling, he also enjoys gardening, hiking, archery, golf and playing guitar. David is a learner, a disciple, which thrives on seeing God move in the church and community. David enjoys leading people to a deeper connection with God.

David is blessed with three children: Sarah, Alyssa and Davy now enrolled in Adventist academy and universities. Proverbs 3:5-6 is one of David’s favorite Bible verses, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

Thorn has been pastoring the Cambodian and Hmong members of the Sharon church for the past ten years. During that time he has completed his B.A. degree in theology from Southwestern Adventist University in Keene, Texas and is now working towards a master degree at Southern Adventist University. Now 50-100 people meet in the ACA gym each Sabbath--the Hmong group meets in the morning and the Cambodian group meets in the afternoon. Thorn also has an extended ministry in Lexington, NC where they are praying for a place to meet.

Pastor Thorn and Phalla have two children, Saminta and Emmanuel.

Pastor Thorn and Phalla extend a warm welcome to you and invite you to visit the Hmong or Cambodian group on Sabbath morning and recommend it to your Cambodian or Hmong friends or work associates.
